Outsourced Accounting

Build a monthly accounting foundation people can actually use.

LedgerArbor organizes the close, core statements, supporting schedules, and unresolved questions into a repeatable cadence—so leadership can see what changed and what still needs attention.

Monthly cadence

A close is a sequence, not a black box.

  1. Collect

Confirm statements, processor reports, payroll records, invoices, inventory inputs, and owner responses.

  2. Reconcile

Match agreed balance-sheet accounts and investigate differences rather than carrying unexplained amounts forward.

  3. Review

Assess classification, period cutoffs, unusual activity, recurring entries, and reporting changes.

  4. Report

Prepare the agreed statements and schedules with movements, assumptions, and unresolved items visible.

  5. Hand off

Assign follow-up and route questions to leadership or the designated professional.

The same statements can require different operating context.

The accounting policy and detail should match the decisions the business needs to make.

Questions

Outsourced accounting questions

Do you use cash-basis or accrual-basis accounting?
The appropriate basis depends on the business, reporting needs, tax-professional input, and approved scope. The current basis and any proposed change are documented first.
Will we receive financial statements every month?
If monthly reporting is in scope, the engagement identifies the statements, schedules, inputs, review cadence, and responsibility for unresolved items.
Can you work in our existing accounting system?
System fit, access, integrations, and record quality are reviewed before scope is confirmed.
Who approves payments?
The client's authorized approvers retain approval and release controls. Workflow roles are documented separately.
Can you prepare audited or reviewed financial statements?
Audit, review, compilation, attest, and assurance services are outside LedgerArbor's scope.
